Happy Fall, Y'all!

Although, judging by the weather, you may not have noticed- it's fall in Texas! And with the change of seasons comes a (slight) change in the weather! As much as us Texans do love a cool breeze, the damage that comes from falling leaves clogging up our gutters and weighing down our roof is surely not something any of us are looking forward to. To make sure we are keeping our customers safe, we recommend you take some preventative steps to ensure yours and your family's safety this fall season.

  1. Trim back those trees. As the leaves begin to fall, you will see the branches that are getting a little too close to home. Trimming them back helps to prevent later damage to your roof. Doing this early on will save you from having to clean mounds of leaves out of your gutters.

  2. Clean your gutters and install gutter guards. Clean gutters will keep water flowing with ease from your roofline. Clogged gutters splash water back onto the roof, and lead to cracking, mold, and other damage throughout the season.

  3. GET A PRE-WINTER INSPECTION! Not only should you be having regular inspections done on your roof, it’s always a great idea to have a professional come out and look at your roof before winter comes to avoid any issues. After last winter, you can really never be too careful! I know I can't be the only one that was surprised by the damaging effects of that winter storm.

  4. Invest in repairs as needed. Small problems in the fall can easily turn into BIG problems in the winter. It’s best to enter the cold season with a strong, sturdy roof. By maintaining your roof properly throughout the year, you will set yourself up to have a stress free winter with little to no excessive repair costs.

These tips will ensure that your roof has the longest lifespan possible. So call us at Elite Roofing today to schedule your inspection and save yourself some stress, which in turn will ensure you too will have the longest lifespan possible!
